The Salt of the Earth

MORTON’S FORK: [make a choice between reading other’s blogs (and not being able to actually blog) or writing my own blog, and not being able to read other people’s blogs.

Who is Morton, and why does he have a fork? Is that a metaphor about being on the ‘horns of a dilemma?’ And what does he have to do with reading and writing? What business is it of his to know anything?

*Taking the defensive stance*

Testy, are we? (Yes, I talk to myself)…

Is he offering salt for the wounds I’m about to make?

Well, toss that salt over your left shoulder, sonny boy, and walk softly out the door.

ADDENDUM: I live in a quantum universe, so, guess what… I can write in one universe, and slip into the other to just read. Take that and put it in your pipe, and smoke it.

Toss the salt over the shoulder & never run out of it!

I am deeply affected by Morton’s Fork. The less sleep I get the worse it gets. Do you know of a cure?
