Invasion of Icicle Man

Thanks to  the wonderful world of “Learning to Paint” and the Keeper of the Paintbrushes, I find myself in Weird Image Wednesday! Loving a challenge, and happy to find that the blogging gods have brought wonderfully inspiring writers into this blogger’s world, I present my first (of many I hope) weird images to this fun weekly endeavor:

invasion of the iciciles

While there’s nothing strange about icicles on the outer edge of our porch overhang, the one that is trying to get in the window is just plain weird! I supposed I could run with it and make a whole horror story about it, but for now, I’ll leave him suspended in one moment of time on the morning of February 18.

Icicle Man looks like he could be a rather lethal character – unless he gets too much sun!

He probably won’t get sun until Spring. Between the overhang, and the trees bordering it, it’s a pleasant respite from the heat in summer, as it remains shaded. Now the icicles on the gutter side do get sun because the snow is pushing the evergreen branches down. We only get the sunset on this side of the house, so Icicle Man will be peering in until the temps hit above freezing.
