Day 22 – A song that someone has sung to me
And I Love You So – Don Mclean
A year after we got married, because we spent our honeymoon on Amtrak, we went to Jefferson, Texas on our first anniversary, and we had our wedding on video tape, and we watch it, (and do every year, now, along with You’ve Got Mail, because we met online), as if we were going through it again. Before we began our ‘ceremony’ Mr. Quantum sang me this song. It was a perfect song, from my perfect husband.

I like Don Mclean, but don’t really know many of his songs (American Pie, of course…one of my favorites). I never heard this one. Sounds like a John Denver. You guys met online? That’s cool.

Yes, American Pie! I heard this for the first time when Mr. Q sang it to me. I think it’s a wedding song, kind of. It’s funny because there’s a song that, Vincent (Starry Starry Night) that Don Mclean, but when I was looking for it on Youtube once, somebody had it down a being a John Denver song. It wasn’t John, but I guess there’s enough people who think they do sound alike.
Yes, we met back in 1992, online. Before the internet opened its gateways to all the little satellite ISPs.

I have always loved this song. He has such an organic voice. I LOVED the picture of the birds.

Aside from the idea of ‘love birds’ it made me think of spring, which I’m still waiting to come around here lol We had snow today!
