Here we are on Day Seven in the Sandbox, in the sunny isles of Impromptu Promptlings,
The question: what makes you SHINE?
Being a friend
“…Keep smiling, Keeping shining…”
That’s What Friends Are For – Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Gladys Knight
Being trustworthy
I’ll Be There For You – Bon Jovi
“…These five words I swear to you.”
Respecting ALL life
Bless the Beasts and the Children
“Give them shelter from the storm, keep them safe, keep them warm…”
And Mostly For Enjoyment Sake:

Perhaps much like yourself, enjoying the good life, and taking each day as it comes – the ups and downs, the turns and bends. Glad you are having fun in blogland again and wanted to welcome you back 🙂 Also appreciating your selections.

Thank you, Ka, for the welcome back. Yes, each day as it comes. It was time to come out of hibernation and I recall enjoying the previous sandbox challenge. I’m seeking to do it differently this time. I’m glad that you’re enjoying my selection of music.
Blessings

Love this – the last video is so particularly beautiful. We all need hugs, even the fish 🙂

Love love love that Carpenters song – but then my wife of 22 years is a Karen Carpenter aficionado!
Completely and utterly agree – being a friend is so simple, yet absolutely vital to our ability to shine.

Thank you Kelvin! It is definitely one of my favorite Carpenter’s songs and also a favorite movie.
That’s a great way to put it, “being a friend is so simple, yet absolutely vital to our ability to shine.”

I’ve enjoyed very much your “digital mix tape” of late. It’s great fun hearing the musical picks of other bloggers. Thanks for the listens of Simon and Garfunkel and the Beatles. Eric Whitacre has a a host of great choral pieces, as well.

Thank you! I used to have a weekly event, The Monday Music Medicine Show, but that was 2 years ago. I’m just getting back into my blog and I thought, wouldn’t it be nice to combine this challenge with my old event. Music IS the medicine in my Soul 🙂 LOVE Eric Whitacre and hope to get more into his music now that I’m back online. We lost internet for 3 days – no phone either – and we thought the world was ending. lol

Would you mind if I repost some of your choices? It would be fun to call attention to some of these tunes to my readers.
